Sports & Mindfulness

Engaging creative play, athletics, and mindfulness training help children have fun, stay safe, and learn the foundation of valuable social and emotional skills. All program curriculums can be tailored with families before a season starts and are adaptable during the season with the kids.

Mindful Sports Programs are for children ages 3-12. We offer awesome sports and a variety of fun camp games! Groups are limited to 3-to-9 children. COVID Safety Guidelines will be followed.

Safety

All summer programs will be following our COVID Safety Guidebook. All of our summer programs are contingent on COVID general metrics and city, state, and national guidelines maintaining acceptable levels in local communities. In the event of individual and group COVID cancellations or COVID full program cancellations, refunds and partial refunds will be provided. Prescreening Health Form

All families must be registered in advance of a program start date to begin their prescreening health form. We’re asking all families to complete daily temperature and symptom checks leading up to the start of the summer.

Weekly Cost: $650 $595 (Early Bird Discount Rate)

Additional Discounts: Multi-Week and Sibling/Family Discounts Available!

Daily Drop-In: $150

Early Drop-Off: $40/week or $10/drop-in-day

August Pre-K Camp (8/23-8/27): $395

September Mini-Camp (9/8-9/10): $350

Adapting for Today

Mindful Sports Programs are for children ages 3-12. All programs follow our COVID Safety Guidebook process and procedures, available upon request. Offered sports are baseball, kickball, soccer, flag football, a variety of fun camp games, and/or any combination of activities!

Some games have been re-designed for social distancing and to limit equipment sharing. Engaging creative play, athletics, and mindfulness training help children have fun, stay safe, and learn the foundation of valuable social and emotional skills. All program curriculums can be tailored with families before a season starts and are adaptable during the season with the kids.

Summer FAQs

9:00am – 9:30am: Fun Arrival Time Sports Games

9:30am – 9:50am: Introductions, Day Plan/Theme

9:50am – 10:15am: Athletic Warm Ups

10:20am – 11:20am: Skills and Drills and Games

11:20am – 11:30am: Snack

11:30am – 12:30pm: Morning Games

12:30pm – 1:15pm: Lunch

1:30pm – 1:50pm: Afternoon Mini Games

1:50pm – 2:50pm: Afternoon Games

3:00pm: Dismissal

All kids are taught age-appropriate mindfulness skills through sports. Kids learn:

• An understanding of what mindfulness is

• Mindful listening, breathing, and body awareness

• How to use mindfulness skills with sports

• How to use mindfulness skills off the field

• Importance of teamwork, respect for others, resilience, kindness, and mindful leadership

Kids should wear athletic clothes and bring a snack, a lunch, and a water bottle to camp. Kids are welcome to bring their own athletic equipment, but all equipment is also provided.

This summer, our camp will be operating at a 6:1 counselor-to-kid ratio.

Sports and games will vary and rotate day by day. Kids will have choices and options during the camp day as a group to vote and decide on different sports.

We do allow select five-year olds into camp. However, they need to have attended a Mindful Sports program in the past and/or receive permission from the camp director. Please contact us at contact@mindful-sports.com for details.
