Mindful Sports Leadership Program

Introducing the Mindful Sports Leadership Program! For children ages 13-14 who are interested in a multi-faceted summer camp experience and future CIT positions.

Mindful Sports Leadership Campers enjoy traditional camp experiences, alongside speciality sports training, and an introduction to coaching younger children. Leadership Campers can co-create their day with coaches and camp directors. The Mindful Sports Leadership Program will be limited, with priority registration for returning campers.

[My child] loves this program! We have struggled to find programs that are a good fit for him with his social challenges, but he says this is his “favorite ever!”

Mindful Sports Parent

[My child] really loves Mindful Sports and we’re so happy that he found something sports related that makes him feel happy and strong (on the inside and out).

Mindful Sports Parent

[My son’s] experience with Mindful Sports has been amazing!  Working with the Mindful Sports Team, [my son] has grown as an athlete and a teammate and has improved his ability to get through frustration on the field.  Mindful Sports meets each kid at their own level and guides them to be better.  It teaches how to strive to improve and win while also building a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment with positive skills for problem solving and self-regulation.

All kids are taught age-appropriate mindfulness skills through sports. Kids learn:

• An understanding of what mindfulness is

• Mindful seeing, listening, breathing, body awareness, emotions, gratitude, and leadership!

• How to use mindfulness skills with sports

• How to use mindfulness skills off the field

• Importance of teamwork, respect for others, resilience, kindness, and mindful leadership

Kids should wear athletic clothes and bring a snack, a lunch, and a water bottle to camp. Kids are welcome to bring their own athletic equipment, but all equipment is also provided. Please bring water shoes/towels as needed.

In the event of inclement weather, camp will be indoors at our convenient neighborhood location.

This summer, our camp will be operating at a 5:1 ratio for Pre-K, at least an 8:1 ratio for our younger campers, and at least a 10:1 ratio for our older campers.
